At EAP Malaysia, we utilise a modern style ABA approach in the delivery of all our services. This approach is the only treatment for autism supported by controlled studies and post-treatment follow up data. It develops communicative speech and improved social relatedness in 90% of those treated. This program produces virtually normal social interaction, communicative and cognitive abilities in 40% to 50% of children with autism.
INITIAL APPOINTMENTS
Schedule an initial appointment with us learn more about your child and autism, or to find out more about our therapy programmes!
Diagnostic Evaluation
The Diagnostic Evaluation is a 2-hour appointment, where one of our EAP Malaysia Psychologists will observe and play with the child, as well as conduct an interview with the parents, to determine if your child has autism. The tools utilised for the Diagnostic Evaluation are the Childhood Autism Rating Scale (CARS) and the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-V). A written report will be provided to you following the appointment.
Initial Screening
Before making an appointment for an Initial Screening, the child should have already received a prior diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder from an external clinician. The Initial Screening is a 2-hour appointment, where one of our EAP Supervisor will observe and play with the child, as well as discuss the child’s development, strengths, challenges, and subsequently provide you with a recommendation of strategies and programmes that EAP Malaysia can provide for the child. A written report will be provided to you following the appointment.
THERAPY PROGRAMMES

Backed by a Clinical Supervision Team with the combined clinical experience of 32 years, our therapy programmes are delivered by our team of EAP qualified ABA Therapists in a one-to-one setting utilising the Applied Behavioural Analysis (ABA) approach.

SUPERVISION ONLY PROGRAMME
Parent Training
The Parent Training model includes 4 hours of supervision every month. Supervision is conducted every fortnight by one of our EAP Supervisors at the EAP Centre. With this model, parents will serve as the child’s therapist, as well as assemble their own therapy materials.
Workshops
The Workshop model is designed for individuals and families who are out-of-state or overseas. Supervision is conducted every month by one of our EAP Supervisors either at the EAP Centre or at your home. With this model, families are required to recruit their own team of therapists, as well as assemble their own therapy materials.
Fortnightly Model
This model includes 6 hours of supervision every month (utilised on a fortnightly basis) with phone consults on the opposite weeks to ensure weekly communication and support. Families find and hire their own teams of therapists, therapy materials and facility which includes furnishing and toys.

GROUP CLASSES AND ACTIVITIES

EAP SCHOOL
At the start of 2018, we launched the EAP School internally for the children currently in our programme. As some children with autism may not be able to attend and succeed in a mainstream school, the EAP School is designed for our children to participate in a group learning structure and learn academic concepts in a simplified and broken down manner.
